A marvelous cold night spent at Quinta da Marka, in the Douro Valley, Portugal.
During the tours I guide, we often talk about Portuguese cuisine and what to eat that is really unique in the country.
Naturally, among other delicacies, we talk about alheiras and farinheiras, two different sausages you can only find in Portugal. We talk about their origins, differences, and ways to eat them.
Nowadays we arrive at Pinhão, in the heart of the Douro Wine Region, we climb to a higher place, and all we see around us are vineyards covering the slopes as far as the eye can see.
During the tours, I do in the Douro Valley, and when we have Rabelo boat trips, whenever I can, I include lunch on board … it’s fantastic.
The two hours of a Rebelo boat ride pass quickly, and you always feel like repeating.
